The Pakistan fast bowler, Junaid Khan, took to his official X account to share a bizarre post on Virat Kohli’s innings for Royal Challengers Bengaluru against Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2024. After the RCB opener was dismissed early for three off nine balls, Junaid Khan pointed out that his strike rate is 33.33, without taking into account the short duration of his innings.

In the 25th match of the IPL 2024, the Mumbai Indians captain, Hardik Pandya, won the toss and decided to bowl first. During the third over of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru innings, they lost the big wicket of Virat Kohli, who looked scratchy with the bat during his short stay at the crease, caught behind the wicket by Ishan Kishan off the bowling of Jasprit Bumrah.

Following the early dismissal of Virat Kohli at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, Junaid Khan posted on X, “Strike rate 33.33 #RCBvsMI,” along with a face with no mouth emoji. Although the Pakistan cricketer intended to join in the fan conversation in regards to Virat Kohli’s strike rate, which has been a massive bone of contention in the IPL 2024 despite his consistent form, he seemingly forgot about the small sample size of deliveries in the recent innings.

Moreover, even though Virat Kohli lost his wicket early, Royal Challengers Bengaluru managed to post a big total on the board against Mumbai Indians. They scored 196/8 in their allotted overs, with the captain Faf du Plessis, Rajat Patidar, and Dinesh Karthik scoring fifties each.
