However, there isn't any confirmation on the same, either by Raina or LSG but the fans have been left mulling over Raina joining LSG as mentor after the franchise let go of their mentor Gautam Gambhir just days ahead of the IPL 2024 mini-auction. A fan expressed his delight at the rumours of Raina joining LSG as mentor, but a senior journalist retweeted the post, stating it to be fake news.

To the surprise of everyone, the ex-Indian cricketer in a surprising reply, sarcastically hit back at the journalist adding that no every news that is posted is fake. “Why? Your news can’t be rite all the time?” Raina wrote on X.
