Cricket fans lauded team India for their exemplary performance against Sri Lanka and qualifying for the semifinal stage of the ODI World Cup 2023. India locked horns with Sri Lanka in their seventh clash of the tournament and the Men in Blue recorded a massive 302-run win over their rivals. Not only this but with their seventh consecutive win in the season, the Asian Giants became the first to secure their berth in the semifinal stage of the season.

Batting first, the Indians posted a mammoth total of 357 runs for their counterparts to chase. In the second innings, the Indian bowling unit, including Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj, Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja, delivered a sensational performance to guide the team to another victory. Shami picked a brilliant five-wicket haul to bundle out their counterparts at 55 runs in 20 overs. Fans lauded the remarkable effort put in by the home favourites on social media.
Notably, India will lock horns with South Africa and the Netherlands on November 5 and November 12 in their remaining two league matches in the season.
