The Taipei Open 2023 will see a total of 80 singles players and 95 doubles teams from across the globe, including as many as 12 singles players and 4 doubles pairs from India in action from June 20. However, several players have withdrawn from the tour including the men’s top-seed singles player Kodai Naraoka, who is set to be replaced by Commonwealth Games 2014 gold medallist Parupalli Kashyap.
The total prize money for the tournament is USD 210,000, with the winners of each category taking home USD 15,000. India’s top-ranked men’s singles badminton player HS Prannoy will spearhead the Indian challenge at the Taipei Open 2023.
