The Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) 2025 is all set to return on June 5, with its ninth edition. The T20 tournament will be played from June 5 to July 6 and during this period, 31 matches will be played across Tamil Nadu’s four cities Coimbatore, Salem, Tirunelveli, and Dindigul. The final of the tournament will be played on June 6 at the NPR College Ground, Dindigul.
Like the previous season, the upcoming edition of the league will also witness eight teams- Dindigul Dragons, Lyca Kovai Kings, IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans, Chepauk Super Gillies, Nellai Royal Kings, Trichy Grand Cholas, Siechem Madurai Panthers, and Salem Spartans. With the competition only a couple of weeks away, let’s know the squads of all eight teams.
The competition will be played in the single round-robin stage, with teams facing one another once in the league stage. Promient names such as Ravichandran Ashwin, Sai Sudharsan, Varun Chakarvarthy, R Sai Kishore, Washington Sundar, and Shahrukh Khan will feature in the T20 extravaganza to be played for 32 days.
Top four sides will make it to the playoffs, which will be conducted between July 1 to 6. Dindigul Dragons, who won their maiden trophy in 2024, will look to replicate their previous performance to defend the title successfully and add the second trophy to their cabinet.
