Team India all the way: PM Narendra Modi congratulates India on CWC 2023 win against Pakistan

The two-time world champions continued their dominance by recording their eighth consecutive win over the Men in Green.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended wishes to the Indian cricket team for their win over the arch-rivals Pakistan in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023. Indian team, under the leadership of Rohit Sharma locked horns with the neighbouring nation in a mouth-watering clash on October 14, Saturday, and recorded a seven-wicket win to extend their tally to 3-0.

This was the first IND vs PAK clash in seven years that took place on the Indian soil. Not only this, but with their victory, the two-time world champions continued their dominance by recording their eighth consecutive win over the Men in Green.

Modi took to Twitter to congratulate Men in Blue and wrote, " Team India all the way!  A great win today in Ahmedabad, powered by all round excellence.  Congratulations to the team and best wishes for the matches ahead."

The Indian skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss to invite the visitors to bat first. The great efforts put in by the Indian bowlers helped them knock out their rivals at a below-par score of 191. In the second innings, the Indian batters, especially Sharma, displayed brilliant skills to take their team to the other side of the victory line. Notably, the Indian captain scored 86 runs of 63 balls to guide their team to third consecutive win of the season.
