Following the three intriguing Tests of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025, eyes are set on Team India and England again as both sides will take on each other in the fourth match, set to be played at the Old Trafford Ground in Greater Manchester from July 23. England are in a comfortable position as they have two games in the three-match competition and they will look to win the upcoming game and neutralise the visitors’ chances of winning this series completely. However, Shubman Gill and his men will endeavour to be at their best in the crucial game to bounce back and keep their chances alive.
Records are daunting for Team India supporters at the Old Trafford Cricket Ground as their side have never tasted success at this venue. Back in 1936, India played their maiden Test match in Manchester under Maharaja of Vizianagram’s captaincy and since then, the side have never won any red-ball match on the ground. Talking about India’s last outing, it happened in 2014 under MS Dhoni’s captaincy and England drubbed the visiting team by an innings and 54 runs. However, ignoring these records and learning from their previous blunders, Gill and co. will strive to hold their nerves in Manchester and replicate their Edgbaston Test’s performance to script history.
