The Indian cricket team is scheduled to play the fourth Test of the five-match series against England for the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy at the Old Trafford in Manchester from July 23 onwards. With the five-match series in favour of England at 2-1, India are in desperate need to bounce back strongly after losing the third Test by a close margin of 22 runs at Lord’s in London earlier this week, to have any chance of staying in the series.
After the third Test concluded on July 14, the Indian cricket team had a couple of days of rest before they made their way to practice earlier this morning. In one of the videos from the venue, which has gone viral on the social media platform X, RevSportz journalist Rohit Juglan stated that the Indian players set the tone of the day with the “Hanuman Chalisa”, the Hindu devotional hymn praising Lord Hanuman, playing in the dressing room, and it apparently could be heard as well.
The Indian players turned towards Lord Hanuman after a tough loss earlier this week at Lord’s in London, and it could bring in some positive energy in the team in their preparation for their upcoming Test match against England next week. It is understood that the Indian cricket team will be travelling to Manchester on July 19, just four days before the contest begins at Old Trafford.

India are yet to win Test match at Old Trafford in Manchester against England
While there has been no indication in regards to any changes in the Indian playing XI for the fourth Test, it will be interesting to see whether Jasprit Bumrah takes the field for the team with his workload management firmly in focus. As far as England are concerned, off-spinner Shoaib Bashir has been ruled out of the series due to a finger fracture sustained at Lord’s in London, and he has been replaced in the squad by all-rounder Liam Dawson.
India have never won a Test match at the Old Trafford in Manchester, but they will be needing to break the long-standing record to make a comeback in the series just like Edgbaston in Birmingham earlier this month.
