Team SouL, one of the biggest Indian esports teams, signed a major title sponsorship deal with the iQOO brand for six months, on Tuesday, December 12. After the deal announcement, the co-founder and CEO of Team SouL, Animesh Agarwal, alongside the iQOO CEO Nipun Marya unveiled a new official jersey of the esports team at Sunder Nursery venue in Delhi.

The title sponsorship deal between Team SouL and iQOO, the popular consumer electronics manufacturer, is the first time an esports team managed to secure a partnership of this kind beyond individual tournaments as per the report from InsideSport. Notably, the esports team is going to compete with the new moniker “IQOO SouL” at the grand finals of the Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series (BMPS) 2023, at the Eka Arena in Ahmedabad.
Over the last few years, Team SouL has won some of the biggest esports tournaments, which include the PUBG Mobile India Series (PMIS) 2019, PUBG Mobile Cup Open (PMCO) Spring Split: India 2019, and the Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series (BMPS) 2022. They have also represented India at various international tournaments apart from becoming the “Esports Content Creator of the Year” for two straight years.
Led by Sahil Jhakar (SouL Omega), the esports team has players like Sohail Shaikh (SouL Hector), assaulters Akshat Goel (SouL Akshat), Naman Adiani (SouL Neyo), and Harsh Paudwal (SouL Goblin).
