In the final of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are currently batting steadily against Punjab Kings (PBKS) after being put into bat first at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The big wicket of Phil Salt fell in the second over of RCB to Kyle Jamieson after he struck a couple of boundaries in his short innings before PBKS put a lid on the scoring of the opposition somewhat, keeping them below 10 runs per over (RPO) in the first 10 overs or so.

After Phil Salt went back to the pavilion, Mayank Agarwal took the role of finding boundaries regularly while Virat Kohli looked to anchor the RCB innings. Agarwal did score 24 runs in 18 balls with two fours and one maximum before finding Arshdeep Singh at deep square leg in his attempt to clear the ropes on a short delivery from Yuzvendra Chahal, giving his former teammate the first wicket of the IPL 2025 final.

RCB captain Rajat Patidar provided some impetus to the batting innings with a couple of sixes in his innings of 26 runs in just 16 balls, but Kyle Jamieson trapped him in front of the stumps lbw, to give PBKS a big breakthrough. After the completion of first 12 overs in the RCB innings, they have reached the score of 103/3 with Virat Kohli at the crease on 32 runs in 26 balls with two fours and Liam Livingstone at the other end with him.
