Former Pakistan cricketer Abdul Razzaq received massive criticism over his remarks on Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. While discussing on Pakistan’s early exit from the flagship tournament after series of dismal performance, he also cited an example of Bollywood celebrity.

However, while talking on a show alongside Umar Gul and Shahid Afridi, Razzaq said, “Actually, we don’t have good intention to develop and polish player in Pakistan. If you think that by marrying Aishwarya Rai, a good and pious kid would be wrong, it would never happen.”
However, in a latest video, Abdul Razzaq apologied for his comments. “I am Abdul Razzaq. Yesterday, during the press conference, we were talking about cricket, coaching and intention. It was a slip of the tongue of the kind that happened while I was giving an example to explain the situation. I wanted to give some other examples but accidentally Aishwarya’s name came up. I really want to apologise for my mistake, and I want to say sorry to Aishwarya. That was not my intention. I really apologise,” he said.
The Men in Blue are currently playing the Kiwis at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on 15 th November in the first semifinal of the ODI World Cup 2023. Meanwhile the winner of this match will see the winner of South Africa versus Australia in the final on November 19 th in Ahmedabad.
