Netflix, one of the most popular streaming platforms, announced that it will soon release a documentary based on the cricket rivalry between arch-rivals India and Pakistan. The documentary featuring cricket stories from the neighbouring nations will be titled ‘The Greatest Rivalry’. The OTT platform released the first look announcement video on its social media platforms. While the date of the docuseries is yet to be announced, it will feature stories from beyond the boundaries of cricket pitch and dressing rooms.
Not only this, but it will also show the mental aspect of the clash. The announcement video released by the OTT platform features a glimpse of Kapil Dev and Imran Khan holding World Cup trophies. The docu-series is expected to be released very soon and will spotlight key moments from clashes between India and Pakistan, the legendary players and the anticipation preceded by every big match.
India-Pakistan to clash at T20 World Cup 2024 on June 9
India and Pakistan are set to add one more chapter to their historic rivalry as they gear up to lock horns at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. The clash will take place in New York on June 9, and it will be their eighth clash at the event. Previously, they clashed twice in the 2007 Final, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2021, and 2022. They didn’t get a chance to go head-to-head in the 2009 and 2010 editions.
In the previous seven encounters, India emerged victorious six times, including the 2007 final and 2022 Melbourne match, owing to Virat Kohli’s heroics. Currently, India are hosting England for a five-match series, which they have already won 3-1. The fifth and final match of the series will take place at the HPCA Cricket Stadium on March 7.
