In a cross-over of epic proportions, some of Formula One’s drivers and the PGA Tour’s golfers will join hands to compete for the first-ever Netflix Cup. The tournament will see four teams, comprising an F1 driver and a PGA golfer, battle it out for the inaugural tournament victory. The event will take place as a curtain raiser for the first-ever Las Vegas Grand Prix.

The venture will also be a first for Netflix, as it would be the live-streaming giant’s first fore into live sporting events. Speaking about the tournament, Gabe Spitzer, Vice President of nonfiction Sports, at Netflix, expressed excitement and spoke on how the event brings the sporting world’s two great institutions together.
Spitzer said, “We love to see how our sports series have brought increased fandom to sports leagues and competitions all over the world. The Netflix Cup will take that energy to the next level with global stars from two popular hits competing in our first-ever live sports event.”
