Former India captain Virat Kohli has created a massive impact on aspiring cricketers not just from India but from across the globe. The star batter has established himself as an icon at the global level. Kohli is not only known for his prowess as a batter or a captain but for also his unreal fitness standards. The 34-year-old is surely a source of inspiration for budding cricketers irrespective of their gender.

The same was testified by Brazil Women's Cricket Team’s captain, Roberta Moretti Avery. As Roberta has come to India to take part in the India Sports Honour’s award, she spoke about Kohli’s influence back in the country.

“The person whose name is on everyone’s mouth, the person who everyone looks up to is Virat Kohli,” Avery is seen saying in a viral video.

Notably, the fourth edition of the Indian Sports Honours was organized on 23 March in Mumbai. Apart from many known faces in the industry, some new faces were also spotted at the event. India’s pacer Renuka Singh Thakur, Brazil’s Roberta Moretti Avery, and Laura Cardoso were also present at the event.

Indian Sports Honours are awards given annually by the RPSG Group in association with the Virat Kohli Foundation to outstanding sports personalities from India. The awards were founded in 2017.
