Kylian Mbappe has been a teammate of Lionel Messi in the Paris-Saint German (PSG) from 2021 to 2023. Between this, the two star players were seen locking horns in the final of the 2022 FIFA World Cup between Argentina and France. It was one of the most intense finals where Argentina ended up clinching the title in a penalty shootout. A few days after the final, both Messi and Mbappe were seen playing for PSG again. Recently, Mbappe opened up about playing alongside Messi after the FIFA World Cup final.

Kylian Mbappe said that the World Cup bought him and Lionel Messi closer and he has learnt so much from the Argentine skipper. "The World Cup final vs Messi? I was furious as hell. You know, you're a little apprehensive (about being reunited at the club). But the first thing, we laughed. He told me 'Hey, you've already won once.' This final brought us even closer. You learn everything from him, he does everything well,” Mbappe said in his interview with French channel Clique TV.

It’s an honor: Mbappe on his admiration for Cristiano Ronaldo

Along with his relationship with the former PSG teammate Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe is also known for his admiration for star Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo. Mbappe never stood behind in showing his admiration for Ronaldo and said that it has been an honour for him to play against the star Portugal player.

“It’s an honor. It’s the admiration I’ve always had for Cristiano, for the player. Over time, I’ve had the chance to get to know him and talk to him many times. We’re still in touch… Playing against him is an honor for everything he’s done in football. No matter what happened before or what happens after, he’ll always be a legend of the game,” Kylian Mbappe said.
