More than 300 days after three men allegedly attacked PSG and France midfielder Kheira Hamraoui, the accused have been arrested by the France police. Notably, the alleged assault in which Hamraoui's leg were specifically targeted and struck with an iron bar took place in November of last year and left the 31-year-old out of her first-team training for over a month.

Reports also claimed that the PSG midfielder was dragged from the car and was mercilessly beaten by the accused. According to French media, three men have been arrested and taken into custody by the judicial police of Versailles, but the motive of the shocking incident is yet to be ascertained.

Reportedly, Hamraoui's team-mate Aminata Diallo who was driving the car at the time of the incident was detained for 35 hours by police before being released without charge. Diallo was suspected to be involved in the attack due to a sporting rivalry with the Hamraoui.

According to The Times, former French footballer Eric Abidal was due to be questioned by the police amid speculations of adultery due to his alleged 'privileged relationship' with Hamraoui.

"The attackers hit me with an iron bar several times. I saw that he was mainly targeting my legs and I was trying to protect myself with my hands. I didn't see a weapon, but they dragged me from the car and grabbed a rectangular iron bar that one of the accused had hidden in his pant or under the sweater," Hamraoui told local police.

She further informed the police that the accused gave her first blow from the first moment of the assault. "I fell on the road and then on the right side of the road," added Hamraoui.

The PSG star midfielder returned for a second spell with PSG last year following her time with Lyon and Barcelona where she clinched a combined four league titles and three Champions Leagues.
