Charlotte Hornets forward Miles Bridges’ four charges on two separate events were reportedly dropped. The attorney dropped three charges against the Hornets player related to an October event that involved him and his ex-girlfriend, who is also his children’s mother. As per the reports, the 25-year-old was served with a criminal summons regarding child abuse, damage to personal property, and breach of a domestic protection order on October 6, 2023.
As per the reports by ESPN, the state of North Carolina dropped the cases against the NBA player filed in the Mecklenburg County court. As per the authorities, the woman who accused Bridges gave conflicting stories of what happened. According to prosecutor Samantha Pendergrass, “Given the lack of sufficient evidence necessary to overcome the inconsistency of these accounts, the state would not be successful at trial.”
