The Andhra Premier League (APL) is all set to return with its fourth edition on August 8, 2025. The tournament will be played for 15 days from August 8 to August 23 and during this period, 25 matches will be conducted among seven teams at the Dr. YSR ACA-VDCA Stadium in Visakhapatnam. The competition will witness the round-robin stage with four playoffs games.
Months ahead of the tournament, the seven sides took part in the auction to add strength to their squads. At the business event, the franchises added new talents, who will join the retained players in the teams. A total of 520 players went under the hammer in the APL auction, among which four grabbed a lot of eyeballs for emerging as the costliest players on the auction table.

4. Saurabh Kumar for INR 8.80 Lakh

All-rounder Sourabh Kumar became a part of the Tungabhadra Warriors for INR 8.80 Lakh. Saurabh possesses massive experience in the domestic circuit. He has played more than 150 local games. In the past, he also served sides such as Rising Pune Supergiant and Punjab Kings (PBKS) in IPL.
3. P.V. Satyanarayana Raju for INR 9.80 Lakh

Pacer P.V. Satyanarayana Raju has been acquired for INR 9.80 Lakh by the Bhimavaram Bulls. Raju has played 24 domestic games for Andhra, in which he has bagged 34 wickets in 27 innings. He was also a part of Mumbai Indians (MI) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. Mumbai spent INR 30 Lakh to add him to their squad.
2. P. Girinath Reddy for ₹10.05 Lakh

P Girinath Reddy emerged as the second-most expensive player at the auction. Royals of Rayalaseema spent INR 10.05 Lakh to reserve his services for the season. Reddy carries the experience of 22 T20 matches for Andhra. As an all-rounder, he has accumulated 228 runs and 15 wickets.
1. Pyla Avinash for INR 11.50 Lakh

Batter Pyla Avinash bagged the most lucrative deal at the business extravaganza as he was snapped up for INR 11.50 Lakh by Royals of Rayalaseema. With this amount, Avinash became the costliest player at the business event. Avinash has played five T20s for Andhra Pradesh thus far, in which he has scored 81 runs at an average of 20.25. He was also a part of PBKS campaign this year, but he didn't get opportunities to show up.
