Argentina scripted history on Sunday (December 18) after lifting the FIFA World Cup 2022 title, defeating France 4-2 in the penalties. The winning celebration from the team was all glory but the Lusail Stadium had some moment of controversial celebration. Two of the Argentina fans were recorded going topless after their team lifted the final trophy.

This celebration did create some controversy in the Middle Eastern country of Qatar as these two Instagram models were sure to undergo some strict actions after their gesture. With the possibility of jail also applicable after the Qatar Tourism Authority issued guidelines and restrictions on such behaviours around in-decent exposure at the event, the two have reportedly flown out of the country.

The pair, who are now being referred as ‘The Topless Girls’ have risked falling of the strict rules in Qatar. It is being reported that the two have reached their home safely. While one of them with the username of milubarbiie_ did share a story with the location of Madrid, the other by the profile name of noe.dreams shared a video reel from the airport on her story.

Prior to the start of the quadrennial tournament, the Qatar Tourism Authority had stated, “Visitors (men and women) are expected to show respect for local culture by avoiding excessively revealing clothing in public. It is generally recommended for men and women to ensure their shoulders and knees are covered”.
