Despite it being an often repeated phrase, it remains one of the best attempts at defining the sport, it is a game of uncertainties. And who better than James Faulkner to tell us the same. While the Australian all-rounder did not get a chance to feature in the Indian Premier League after going unsold, he made a fantastic debut playing in the Pakistan Super League for the Lahore Qalandars. The left-handed pacer was trusted with the new ball at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi and he did not disappoint.

In his quota of 4 overs, Faulkner conceded 32 runs but also managed to scalp 3 wickets. His victims were top-order batsmen Colin Munro, Rohail Nazir and skipper Shadab Khan. Meanwhile, he is yet to get a chance with the bat but would hope that their top order finishes off the run-chase. Following his impressive performance, netizens following the match couldn’t keep calm. While some were happy to see him on the field after long, some were disappointed after making a contrasting start to that in IPL.
