Bayern Munich will take on Manchester City as UEFA announced the quarter-final draws for the Champions League at Nyon in Switzerland. The Round of 16 of the tournament recently concluded with some entertaining results. But now the final eight teams are set to battle it out for the biggest prize in European football.

The first quarter-final for the 2022-23 season will be played between defending UCL champs Real Madrid and 2021 winners Chelsea. Both these teams played each other last season as well in the quarter-final stage where Los Blancos took the win. The second quarterfinal will see Portuguese royalty Benfica taking on Inter Milan. As the Nerrazzuri and AC Milan have reached the quarter-finals. Inter will play their first leg away, rather than at home as per the draw.



The third quarterfinal fixture will be an all-Italian affair with defending Serie A champions AC Milan taking this year’s Italian leader Napoli. 2022-23 will see three Italian teams compete in the quarterfinal stage since the 2005/06 season. As mentioned earlier, the fourth quarterfinal will see the champions of Germany take on the Premier League winners in a monumental fixture. 


These quarter-final games will be played across two legs in the month of April. The Leg 1 matches are scheduled for Tuesday, April 11 and Wednesday, April 12. Then second Leg will take place on Tuesday, April 18 and Wednesday, April 19. 


Further during the announcement of the draw, UEFA also released the schedule for the semi-finals of the tournament. The semi-final will be played between the winner of QF 4 Milan or Napoli and QF 2 Inter or Benfica. Whereas the second semi-final will be played among the winners of QF 1 Real Madrid or Chelsea and QF 3 Man City or Bayern Munich.
