Israel Adesanya, the reigning UFC Middleweight champion, has recently revealed that he has placed three big money bets on the Monaco GP. The 78-lap extravaganza is going down on May 28 at the Circuit de Monaco in Monte Carlo, with the current F1 world champion Max Verstappen starting the at pole position.

The Nigerian-born Kiwi fighter mentioned that he is backing his Stake-sponsored drivers to deliver the goods on Sunday in Monaco. His first bet of $10,000 is on the seven-time World champion Lewis Hamilton to finish the race in the top three spots. Adesanya also placed $5,000 each on the Alfa Romeo duo of Zhou Guanya and Valtteri Bottas to get into the top 10 when it's all said and done.

If 'The Last Stylebender' wins all his three bets, he will earn a whopping sum of $74,500.

The 33-year-old tweeted the details of his bets on his official Twitter account, which read, “What’s at @stake for the Grand Prix?!!  Had to go with my team Stake drivers for points too.”

Meanwhile, in his last bout inside the octagon at UFC 287, Israel Adesanya slayed his long-time rival Alexsandro “Poatan” Pereira of Brazil via knockout in the second round to win back the middleweight championship at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida. With this stunning win, he avenged his three prior losses against the Poatan in two different combat sports.

According to reports, the UFC Middleweight champion is set to defend his title down the road against either Robert Whittaker or Dricus Du Plessis. These two MMA stars will go head-to-head against each other in UFC 290 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
