In pursuit of the 192-run target in Ranchi Test , India lost a few quick wickets against England, getting reduced to 120/5 in the afternoon session on Day 4. The two wickets on two consecutive deliveries led to the fans criticising the Indian cricket team on the X platform, with one of them calling it, an “Unreal level of bottling.”
Notably, the opening pair of the Indian captain Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal put together an 84-run first-wicket stand to put the hosts in a commanding position at the JSCA International Cricket Stadium. But, when they lost their wickets in quick succession, the new batters found it difficult to bat on a wearing pitch, leading to Rajat Patidar and Sarfaraz Khan getting dismissed without troubling the scorers.
The experienced Ravindra Jadeja, also scored only four runs off 33 balls, either side of Rajat Patidar and Sarfaraz Khan’s dismissals. The Indian fans were not quite pleased with the team losing wickets after a solid start during the run chase, voicing their displeasure on the X platform.
