The second edition of the UP T20 League is set to kickstart with a match between the defending champions Kashi Rudras and Meerut Mavericks at Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on August 25th. Before the match, the Ekana stadium will host the opening ceremony of the 2024 UP T20 League.
The opening ceremony is going to light up with the presence of Bollywood stars, Ayushman Khurana and Kriti Sanon. Along with them, singer Badshah is also going to perform in the opening ceremony of the 2024 UP T20 League. The opening ceremony is set to start at 5:30 PM IST at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow and the match will begin at 8:00 PM.
Kashi Rudras will coming to defend their title
This will be the second season of the UP T20 League. The tournament will take place from August 25th to September 15th with 33 matches among six teams from Gorakhpur, Kashi Kanpur, Lucknow, Noida and Meerut. All the matches including the semi-finals will be played at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow, while the final will be played at Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Stadium in Baramati.
The inaugural edition of the UP T20 League was won by Kashi Rudras in 2023. They defeated Meerut Mavericks by seven wickets in the final at Green Park, Kanpur on September 16, 2023. Now, Kashi will eye on their second consecutive title in the 2024 UP T20 League.
