The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is gearing to script history as it is set to host a grand event at the White House South Lawn on July 4 next year. The date was announced by US President Donald Trump and carries immense significance as the event will coincide with the 250th anniversary of the United States’ founding.
While July 4, 2026 is far beyond as of now, but the UFC President Dana White on Tuesday, August 12 confirmed of the event. The UFC head during his address on Tuesday to CBS confirmed that he is scheduled to meet the US President and Ivanka Trump to discuss more on the paramount event.

Speaking with CBS, White said, as quoted by AFP, “It is definitely going to happen. When he (Donald Trump) called me and asked me to do it, he said, ‘I want Ivanka in the middle of this.’ So Ivanka reached out to me, and her and I started talking about the possibilities, where it would be and, you know, I put together all the renderings.”
It is to be noted that the announcement came in less than a month since UFC signed a preliminary seven-year streaming deal with Paramount worth reported USD 1.1 billion. The initial announcement of UFC event happening at the White House lawn was confirmed by the US President himself during his address on July 4 this year. “We’re going to have a UFC fight on the grounds of the White House… I think we’ll get 20,000 to 25,000 people,” Trump said.
Although, this has been a massive moment in the sport, so far no fighters have been announced for the event. However, several key players, including Jon Jones, Conor McGregor and others have hinted on their participation.
