The Formula One 2021 season is currently on hold with the summer break going on. There is no doubt that it was a much-needed break for everyone, especially with what happened in the last race. On a rainy day in Hungary, Mercedes driver Valtteri Bottas made a shocking error on the first lap as he bumped into McLaren's Lando Norris, resulting in a horrendous sequence of events for everyone.
With nowhere to go, all the following cars had to suffer due to Bottas' mistake while Red Bull's duo of Sergio Perez and Max Verstappen became the biggest victims. Perez had to immediately retire from the race while Max's damage in the car prevented him from competing for a podium place as he ended the race at 10th position (later turned to 9th after Vettel's disqualification).
Verstappen takes cheeky dig at Bottas
Although the Mercedes driver apologized to everyone for ruining everyone's race, it seems like Verstappen is not letting him forget about his mistake anytime soon. In a video that 'thef1guy22' uploaded on his TikTok account, there were some common F1 references being used between Max and others like during their conversation.
For instance, ''Lights out and away we go'' and ''Josh Rogers jumps the start'' were some of the phrases heard during the game. However, Max made full use of the opportunity to take a sly dig at his rival for his mistake in Hungary a few days back. In a very jokingly way, Verstappen said, "Valtteri Bottas takes half of the field out," and burst into laughter.

Can Max bounce back post-summer break?
Although Red Bull's young driver had taken a healthy lead at top of the F1 standings after some incredible wins, Mercedes spilt his party in the last two races with Hamilton and Bottas ruining his chances of a podium finish at Silverstone and Hungary respectively.
Verstappen would still believe that he has a huge opportunity to turn the tides once again post the summer break with still more than half of the season remaining. The 23-year-old is only 8 points behind Lewis Hamilton and will be looking to cut the gap as early as August 29 when the F1 action resumes in Belgium.
