Shubman Gill continued his great form in the ongoing ODI series against England. The vice-captain of the Indian team went on to score his second consecutive half-century in the second ODI at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack. He was also adjudged player of the match for his knock of 87 runs in the first ODI in Nagpur as India took a lead of 1-0. Now, as Men in Blue aim to clinch the series in Cuttack, the 25-year-old came up with another 50-plus score. 

Batting first, England were bowled out for 304 runs in 49.5 overs. In reply, India got a flying start as skipper Rohit Sharma put up an opening partnership of 136 runs in 16.4 overs. Rohit was the batter to complete his fifty in just 30 balls.. After that, Gill also started smashing boundaries after a fiery start and went on to complete his half-century in 45 deliveries.

Shubman Gill went on to carry forward his form from Nagpur to Cuttack and scored second consecutive fifty of the ongoing ODI series against England. However, the right-hander again failed to convert his 50 into a hundred as he was bowled by Jamie Overton in the 17th over. Gill got out after scoring 60(52) runs hitting nine fours and a maximum. Currently, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are at the crease taking the innings forward.
