Indian batting wizard and former captain Virat Kohli signed an autograph for a fan at the Mumbai Airport. King, as Kohli is called by fans and experts alike, flew to the USA to join rest of the squad ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. The cricketing extravaganza will kick off from June 1 with the USA and Canada rubbing shoulders against each other in the season opener. Before their season opener against Ireland on June 5, the inaugural T20 World Cup winners will be up against Bangladesh for a warm-up match on June 1.
Before the tournament gets underway on Saturday, Kohli flew to New York to join the squad that has already reached the USA. Before jetting off, the cricketing great was seen signing a sketch for a young fan at the Mumbai Airport.

Not only this, but Kohli also posed for the paps before entering the airport. It is to be noted that the 35-year-old was a part of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the IPL 2024. Kohli’s franchise finished fourth in the tournament and Kohli was awarded the Orange Cap for being the highest run scorer.

The veteran screenwriter, lyricist and poet took to social media to praise the batter. On his X (formerly Twitter) account, Akhtar posted, “Those who says miracles are a myth haven’t seen Virat batting.”
Coming back to Kohli, the Delhi-born will participate in the T20 World Cup for the sixth time in 2024. He is the top scorer in the competition’s history with 1141 runs in 27 matches at an average of 81.50. In the 2014 and 2022 seasons, Kohli finished a the top scorer in the contest and was awarded the Player of the Tournament (POTM) in the 2014 and 2016 editions.
