Virat Kohli finally reacted to the tragic stampede incident that took place in Bengaluru during the celebrations following Royal Challengers Bengaluru's IPL 2025 title win.  A day after the historic win, the RCB fans were gathered in huge number outside the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru to catch the glimpse of RCB players with the trophy. However, the situation got worse as it turned into a stampede like situation and around 11 people lost their lives in a tragic incident.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru also released an official statement on the incident where they mourned the loss of the people who lost their lives in the incident. “We are deeply anguished by the unfortunate incidents that have come to light through media reports regarding public gatherings all over Bengaluru in anticipation of the team’s arrival this afternoon. The safety and well-being of everyone is of utmost importance to us,” RCB mentioned on their statement.

In their statement, RCB also claimed that they stopped their event at M. Chinnaswamy as soon as they got to know about the situation outside the stadium. Further in their statement, the franchise urged their fans to stay safe in such situations. As per the reports, over two to three lakhs people were outside the stadium while the capacity of the stadium is only 32000.

“Immediately upon being made aware of the situation, we promptly amended our program, and followed, the guidance and advice of the local administration,” the statement read.

“We urge all our supporters to please stay safe.”
