It's been a long wait for Virat Kohli's hundred already. The ex-India and Royal Challengers Bangalore captain last breached the three-figure mark in 2019. While since then he hasn't been in great form but has played a few good knocks here and there. Having said that, for some reason he hasn't been able to score a century.

Although it might not have been such a big talking point had it been any other batter, the fact that it is a batter of the stature of Kohli, who has 70 international hundreds against his name, makes it a huge development in the cricketing arena.

Despite his string of low scores which continued in IPL 2022 barring a couple of innings, the support for Kohli has been overwhelming. Several cricket experts and fans around the world are certain that Kohli will bounce back stronger and get back to scoring heaps of runs.

And now Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan, who is with the Gujarat Titans in IPL 2022, has said that Kohli's century will come soon. "Inshallah Virat Kohli's Century will come very soon. We are so much waiting for his hundred and hopefully very soon.", Rashid reportedly said.

Rashid recalled the small meeting he had with Kohli during a practice session in IPL 2022. "That day when we (me & Virat Kohli) met in the practice sessions, Virat batted so long in the Nets, Virat Kohli was saying, 'that good inning will come, my job is to work hard and prepare hard' ", Rashid said.

However, fans will have to wait for at least a few more weeks to see Kohli's hundred. While his IPL team Royal Challengers Bangalore are out of the title contention after losing the Qualifier 2 against Rajasthan Royals, he has been handed a rest for the home series against South Africa.

Meanwhile, Rashid's Gujarat Titans will take on Rajasthan in the IPL 2022 final on Sunday. Given his vast experience in T20 cricket and the quality that he possesses, the leg-spinner could play a vital role in the summit clash at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
