Denver Nuggets forward Aaron Gordon got into a fuming stare-off with the Minnesota Timberwolves’ Jaden McDaniels following the latter’s harsh display of hard foul on Gordon’s teammate, Jamal Murray’s shot. In a high-stakes Conference semifinal Game 5 between Nuggets and Timberwolves, the home side escalated their lead with a thumping 112-97 win on Tuesday.
For the Nuggets, it was the exceptional performance from Nikola Jokic who garnered a hefty 40 points and also dished out 13 assists throughout the game which left the reigning NBA champions one step away from Western Conference finals. The star forward Gordon also accumulated 18 points with five assists as well.
However, it was the heated exchange between the home side’s Aaron Gordon and his opposite number McDaniels who faced off each other following the hard foul by Jaden on Murray’s shot. Jaden chased the Nuggets’ point guard through the three-point line and pushed him down when the Canada star jumped for the shot. This led to Gordon facing off Minnesota’s forward while the other players and officials had to separate the duo from the scene.
