A new day but not the start Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore were hoping for. After getting an early wicket of captain Kohli in his 200th IPL game for RCB, KKR bowlers dismissed in-form Devdutt Padikkal, followed by quick wickets of KS Bharat & legend AB de Villiers.
ABD becomes a victim of Russell’s yorker
The second phase of the IPL 2021 started not in the best possible way for Mr 360. The South Africa cricketer although is being talked about his new hairdo on one side, it wasn’t an ideal start for the man RCB looks up to.
All-rounder Andre Russell was brought back in the attack after giving six runs in his opening over. On the first ball of the next over, Russell dismissed KS Bharat but it wasn’t late before he sent AB de Villiers on the fourth ball of the same over.
Russell bowled a brilliant yorker on de Villiers’ front leg, hitting straight on the stumps. With this, AB de Villiers was sent back to the pavilion for a golden duck.
