British Heavyweight boxer Anthony Joshua believes Cristiano Ronaldo would beat Lionel Messi in a boxing match. In an interview with ‘Misfits’, Anthony Joshua was asked which two non-boxers would love to see fight inside the ring, to which he named the iconic football rivals Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Joshua backed Ronaldo to beat Messi in the boxing match. He believes the match would be a tough contest, but the Portuguese star would emerge victorious. Messi and Ronaldo have been the primary rivals on the football pitch for more than a decade, and the topic of who is better among football fans has been going on throughout.

“Ronaldo. I love Messi and Ronaldo. Messi's got that vision, though. I can imagine him bobbing and weaving, angles. But yeah, it'd be tough. They're both as good as each other."

In the same interview, Joshua was asked whether he would fight the Portuguese if the opportunity arose, which he declined, saying that he respects Ronaldo. The interviewer also asked about a possible fight between Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Romelu Lukaku. “That would be a bad boy fight,” Joshua replied. The British Boxer is expected to face Deontay Wilder in Saudi Arabia before the end of 2023.
