Gabriel Jesus of Arsenal demonstrated his sense of humour by making fun of Oleksandr Zinchenko in a preseason interview. A loud siren in the background disrupted the conversation between the two former Manchester City players while they were playing a game in which they had to respond to questions in five seconds.

Then, humorously tapping Oleksandr Zinchenko, Gabriel Zinchenko exclaimed, "Your taxi!" as though he needed to leave right then. The Ukrainian defense grinned and shook his head as the Brazilian forward then broke out in laughter.

A fan promptly shared the video of the interview on Twitter, where it soon gained popularity due to how funny it was and how many people praised Gabriel Jesus' wit. Some people also made comments on the friendship between the two athletes, who have been Manchester City teammates since 2017.

The 26-year-old Zinchenko has missed 17 competitive games through injury since signing for Arsenal last summer and the joke was directed at the ambulance being called as his taxi. But Zinchenko did not seem offended by it and continued sportingly.

Some fans even thought that the joke was directed at the sirens being from Zinchenko’s home country Ukraine, which is currently undergoing a war situation against Russia.

The duo joined Arsenal in the summer of 2022, along with Marquinhos, Matt Turner and Fábio Vieira, as part of Mikel Arteta’s squad overhaul. Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko had different roles and fortunes at Manchester City under Pep Guardiola. Gabriel Zinchenko was mainly used as a winger or a false nine, while Oleksandr Zinchenko was deployed as a left-back or a midfielder. Gabriel Jesus scored 95 goals and provided 46 assists in 236 appearances for City, while Oleksandr Zinchenko scored two goals and assisted 12 times in 1284 games. They both won numerous trophies with the Manchester-based club.

However, they both decided to leave City after feeling frustrated with their lack of playing time and opportunities. Gabriel Jesus revealed that he was hurt by Guardiola’s decision to bench him in the Champions League final against Chelsea in 2021, which made him cry.
