Newlywed India cricketer KL Rahul and wife Athiya Shetty posed for Vogue Magazine a few days prior to their wedding ceremony. During the photo shoot the couple also took part in a quiz where they asked questions to each other. There were two rounds wherein Rahul and Athiya quizzed each other. While they asked questions related to personal lives in the first round, Rahul and Athiya quizzed each other about their professional lives in the second round.

Rahul asked Athiya about his debut year which the Bollywood actress got right. She then also correctly answered the unique record held by Rahul (fastest fifty in the Indian Premier League). However, Athiya looked in a fix when Rahul asked what a free-hit is in cricket. The Bollywood diva made a funny gesture which she thought was the signal for a free hit. Nevertheless, Athiya explained the rules perfectly.

Coming to KL Rahul, the cricketer got almost everything right. However, Rahul has not been able to get things right on the cricket field. The 30-year-old has been struggling to find runs since he returned from an injury. Barring a few good innings, Rahul has hardly hit the right chord.
In the first Test against Australia, Rahul first struggled to score runs when his partner Rohit Sharma was taking the Aussies to the cleaners. The batter then handed a dolly to debutant Todd Murphy after adding 23 runs against his name. This caused an uproar among the fans as Rahul got a place in the playing XI ahead of Shubman Gill who has been in sublime touch as of late.
Now, as India and Australia are set to lock horns in the second Test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2022-23 from Friday (17 Feb), it is to be seen if Rahul gets preference over Gill yet again or if Rohit Sharma and Rahul Dravid make the tough call.
