After a dull draw in 1st Test at Pindi Cricket Stadium, Australia and Pakistan reached Karachi on Wednesday in order to begin their preparations for 2nd Test match set to be played from March 12 to 16. A video of players arriving at the team hotel in Karachi was shared by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) which surfaced on social media.

Not the most memorable of arrivals in Karachi for Alex Carey!

The visitors received a warm reception on their arrival in Karachi as David Warner, Steve Smith, Marnus Labuschagne and Pat Cummins shared some of the heartfelt letters which they received from people of Pakistan. It's indeed quite heartening to see the kind of love and respect being shown to the Aussies on their first tour of Pakistan in 24 years.

While Karachi welcomed everyone with open arms, there was one player who did not had the best of times on his arrival i.e. Australia's wicketkeeper Alex Carey. Pat Cummins recently shared a hilarious video on his Instagram where Carey was seen accidentally falling into the swimming pool of hotel, leaving his teammates and staff members in splits.

Carey walks straight into the swimming pool

The 30-year-old was notably talking to someone and as he lost his concentration, he dramatically walked straight into the pool in a rib-tickling moment. With everyone around him bursting in laughter, Carey also gave a smile before seemingly throwing his mobile phone to one of his teammates.

The caption put up by Cummins, which had a number of 'face with tears of joy' emojis, was a clear reflection that no harm was done and it was just an incredibly enjoyable moment for everyone. To add salt to wound for Carey, even Brett Lee and Glenn Maxwell did not shy away from having some fun in the comments section.

Australia's wicketkeeper certainly did not have the best start to Karachi leg but he would be hoping for a change in fortunes on the field at iconic National Stadium during all-important 2nd Test of the series.
