Lancashire County Cricket Club is currently on a tour of India where they faced Bangalore Representative XI and Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) XI in the T20 format followed by their clash against Karnataka XI in the 50-over format. In their fourth match, which is being played in an unlimited-over format, of the tour against the KSCA at the Alur KSCA Stadium, thousands of bees descended on the Test match on Tuesday, forcing the game to be halted while the players and umpires lay down to save themselves.

Lancashire Thunder won the first and the third games played in the T20 and ODI formats respectively. On the other hand, Lancashire Lightning beat KSCA XI in the second T20 match. The English club is unbeaten in the two formats and are currently squaring off against KSCA in a Test match.

In the first innings, KSCA batter  Smaran Ravi (111) smashed a century while Hardik Raj scored 67-off-74 to help their side put 356 runs on the board. Luke Wells and Jack Morely picked up three wickets each while George Balderson and Thomas Aspinwall dismissed two players each. With KSCA batting at 348 at a loss of nine wickets, the play was stopped due to a swarm of bees storming into the ground, leaving the players and umpires on the ground.

During the bee attack, Mohsin Khan was playing at 10-off-18 while  Nischchith Pai was at the crease with a score of  3 runs in 17 balls. Luke Wells dismissed Mohsin in the 84th over and ended the KSCA's first innings at 356 runs.
