The Harmanpreet Kaur-led India Women are currently hosting Australia Women in the one-off Test match at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Taking a considerable lead at the end of Day 2 of the four-day Test match, the hosts were bowled out after putting 406 runs on the board in just 45 minutes at the start of Session 1 on Day 3.
While the Aussie opening pair of Beth Mooney and Phoebe Litchfield got to a promising start, the partnership saw a sudden end with a brain fade moment from Beth Mooney. The Aussie opener incurred a runout in freak fashion, just minutes ahead of Lunch on Day 3. The incident unfolded in the 12th over of the third inning when Mooney blocked a fuller one to silly point.

After the block, Mooney walked out of the crease as if resetting her guard but what followed was Richa Ghosh’s presence of mind to inflict the bails just in time to dismiss the opener at the core of 33. The moment was similar to Jonny Bairstow’s dismissal in the Ashes series, earlier this year.
Fans laud Richa Ghosh’s presence of mind in the game
The moment also earned accolade for Indian youngster Richa Ghosh. The Indian cricketer collected the ball quickly at the silly point to hit the stumps directly. While some fans called Beth Mooney to have sleepless nights after such a dismissal, a few others hailed Ghosh.
