British cruiserweight rivals Lawrence Okolie and Richard Riakporhe were involved in a heated clash on Wednesday night during the European premiere for Michael B. Jordan's Creed III at the at Cineworld Leicester Square in London. The two rivals had to be separated by their entourages outside the screening.

Creed III, starring Michael B. Jordan, Tessa Thompson among others, is a boxing movie series scheduled to be released on March 3, 2023 and it's premiere showcased a similar moment when Okolie and Riakporhe clashed with each other and were pulled apart by their associates.
In the video, Riakporhe appeared to push Okolie backwards, which sparked the clash as both men were seen pushing and grabbing each another. However, no punches were thrown in the clip as the bystanders separated them before the fight.

The altercation has raised a possibility of a professional boxing match between the two fighters later this year with expectations of the world title on the line. Okolie’s next title defence is scheduled on March 25 against his mandatory challenger David Light.
The 30-year-old undefeated boxer, Okolie is the current WBO cruiserweight champion and has defended his belt twice, in September 2021 against Dilan Prašović, and in January 2022 against Michał Cieślak, since winning it in March 2021 against the former two-time cruiserweight champion Krzysztof Głowacki .
On the other hand, Richard Riakporhe is the former cruiserweight champion, who held the title from 2019 to 2020. On January 21, 2023, the 33-year-old Riakporhe defeated Krzysztof Głowacki.
