After sharing a win each in their previous two clashes this season, Kawhi Leonard's Los Angeles Clippers and Stephen Curry-led Golden State Warriors squared off at the Crypto.com Arena on Thursday night in their third clash of the season. While the Warriors lost their third game in a row, star guard Chris Paul was assessed a flagrant 1 foul for hitting Clippers' forward Daniel Theis.
The Clippers beat the Warriors 121-113 to climb a spot in the Western Conference standings while Stephen Curry's side extended their losing streak to three matches and are still placed at the 11th spot in the standings. Klay Thompson scored a game-high 30 points, however, lacked support from his teammates as Curry managed 17 points while Jonathan Kuminga (15) and Chris Paul (12) also failed to deliver big.
With 8:45 remaining in the second quarter, Paul shoved Clippers power forward Daniel Theis, who was looking to grab the rebound, to the ground. Theis shoved Paul as he stood back while the Warriors guard was assessed a flagrant 1 foul, which doesn't force a player out of the game as it is a flagrant 2 foul that leads to an ejection.

While Paul tried to lift Theis, the Clippers forward shoved back the 38-year-old guard, which led to a heated exchange between the two. The referee and players from both teams separated the two as the play was resumed shortly afterward. Paul was handed a flagrant foul for unnecessary contact with the opposition player.
James Harden registered a team-high 28 points with 15 assists against the Warriors on Thursday night while Kawhi Leonard scored 27 points followed by Norman Powell's 21-point game.
