Al-Nassr superstar Cristiano Ronaldo was seen fuming at spectators when he was en route to the dressing room after the defeat at the hands of Al-Hilal by 2-0 at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh. This was Ronaldo’s first appearance in the 2024 season and the star player’s return didn’t have much impact as he was seen completely faded throughout the match.
Following the loss, Cristiano Ronaldo was seen in disdain as his video of indecent behavior towards the crowd attracted controversies for him. The home supporters even chanted ‘Messi,’ ‘Messi’ to Ronaldo when he missed a rigged chance to open his team’s account. The superstar replied with a thumbs up to them and even signaled a Calm Down gesture to them.
After the Riyadh Season Cup 2024 final, Ronaldo approached the tunnel and the Al-Hilal fans continued their mockery and appeared to throw their jersey at the five-time Ballon d'Or winner. A frustrated Ronaldo picked one jersey, rubbed it against his crotch, and threw it back towards the fans.

Ronaldo criticises female referee
Disappointed by his team’s and his performance, the 39-year-old was seen indulging in a feud with the female official over some decisions after which he pointed out a finger indicating her to be sent off the ground. He appeared to direct the hand gesture to the on-field lady official Tori Penso, who is a renowned American referee.

He was also flagged off-side thrice and received a yellow card in the 53rd minute when he furiously pushed the ball away when the hosts were awarded a free kick.
In a match of two heavy-weight sides of the Saudi Pro League, Al-Hilal prevailed with S. Milinkovic`-Savic` (17`), and S. Al-Dawsari (30`) scoring goals for their side while Al-Nassr hadn’t opened their account. Al-Nassr’s next assignment is against Al Fayha on Wednesday, February 14 at Prince Faisal bin Fahd Stadium.
