Manchester United under Erik ten Hag have already defeated giants like Arsenal and Liverpool in the ongoing Premier League campaign and the Red Devils got the better of Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday night at the Old Trafford. However, legendary striker Cristiano Ronaldo remained an unused substitute in United's victory as the five-time Ballon d'Or winner went down the tunnel before the final whistle.

Manchester United have registered their sixth victory in last eight Premier League games, however, United's top scorer in the last season, Cristiano Ronaldo has remained out of favour since the Dutch manager took charge at the Old Trafford.

In last night's match, Manchester United not only came victorious but they showed a dominant performance, which was long-awaited by the fans. Fred broke the deadlock in just two minutes of the second half followed by Bruno Fernandes' 69' winner. Ten Hag decided to not play Ronaldo, which led the disappointed 37-year-old forward to went down the tunnel before the final whistle was blown.

As per football expert Fabrizio Romano, Erik ten Hag said after the match, "I will deal with that tomorrow, not today. We are now celebrating this victory."

Footages have also emerged showing Cristiano Ronaldo warming up for the Tottenham match after the head coach decided to keep him on the bench and start Marcus Rashford instead. The Old Trafford went thunderous watching Ronaldo warming up as the fans sang 'Viva Ronaldo'.

In this season, Cristiano Ronaldo looked out of touch as the Portuguese captain found the back of the net twice across all competitions for Manchester United. Former Real Madrid forward's last goal came against Everton, which was also his record 700th club career goal as his controversial goal against Newcastle United was disallowed by the referee.
