After a frustrating outing against Cyprus club Omonia on October 6 in the UEFA Europa League 2022-23, Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo finally scored his 700th club career goal in an away Premier League game against Everton on Sunday.

During the game against Omonia, legendary striker Cristiano Ronaldo remained unlucky as he missed around three goal-scoring opportunities to reach the 700-goal mark with his best attempt coming off the post before assisting Marcus Rashford in the 84th minute.

Watch Everton vs Manchester United highlights:

During the game against Frank Lampard's Toffees, Manchester United striker Ronaldo started off the bench substituting injured Anthony Martial a minute before the half an hour mark in the game. While Everton midfielder Alex Iwobi scored the first goal of the match in the 5th minute into the game, it remained the goal for the home team.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored a 44-minute winner for Manchester United and brought up his 700th club career goal in style with a left-leg rocket in the bottom of the goal post. After the goal, Ronaldo marked his milestone goal with an unusual goal celebration by standing in a praying position with his eyes closed and a smile on his face. He was joined in his celebration by Brazilian star Antony, who replicated the 37-year-old's celebration.

After conceding an early goal, the Red Devils' star signing Antony scored an equalizer after just 10 minutes and Ronaldo gave the lead to United in the last minute of the first half. The second half remained goalless as United registered their fifth Premier League win in eight games.

Meanwhile, the top-placed Arsenal defeated Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool 3-2 at the Emirates Stadium as Bukayo Saka scored two and Gabriel Martinelli gave the first-minute lead to the Gunners. Darwin Nunez and Roberto Firmino scored a goal each but felt one-goal short to draw the game. Liverpool are currently placed 10th in the points table with just two victories in eight games.
