The Gujarat Titans would be locking horns with the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Match 42 of IPL at Narendra Modi Stadium on 30th April 2026. The Gujarat Titans have faced a defeat at the hands of the Royal Challengers Bangalore on April 24th at Chinnaswamy Stadium and will definitely look for revenge against the mighty RCB. Though GT had a fumbled start at the beginning of the season, they are slowly gaining momentum and would like to continue that in this game and have a shot at the playoffs.
On the other hand, RCB is beaming with confidence after a 9-wicket win against DC in their last game. They are, although missing Phil Salt at the top for the opening, but would look to win this game anyhow and secure the top-three spot in the points table.
GT’s strongest playing XI against RCB:
GT Top Order: Sai Sudharsan, Shubman Gill(c), Jos Buttler(wk)
GT has a strong top order with the likes of an explosive opening pair, followed by Buttler. Sai Sudharsan getting back on form has been another bane for them, and also the return of Gill in the squad after missing the first few games. Gill is the leading run scorer for them with 330 runs, followed by Sai with 322 runs. Buttler has also put his poor form for England in the concluded T20 World Cup campaign behind him and amassed 270 runs at a strike rate of 151.38
Middle Order: Washington Sundar, Shahrukh Khan, Jason Holder
Well, GT’s middle order is not that much into action. As GT’s top order has contributed to 70% od their runs, both Washington Sundar and Shahrukh Khan have been average with the willow. Washington Sundar has scored 147 with a strike rate of 148.11. Holder has been a recent inclusion by GT management against the RCB match, and he just scored a 20-ball 23.
Bowlers - Rashid Khan, Prasidh Krishna, Mohammed Siraj, Kagiso Rabada, Manav Suthar
The spotlight of GT’s bowling has been on Kagiso Rabada. Rabada has returned to his form and is currently the leading wicket-taker for the side with 13 wickets. Rashid Khan’s form has lately been dipping, with him conceding runs. Against CSK, he gave 21 runs in a single over and against RCB, his numbers were 2 for 49. Across his last 5 games, his economy has reached the roof with 10, which has not been a good sign for GT.
GT probable XI: Shubman Gill (capt), Sai Sudharsan, Jos Buttler (wk), Washington Sundar, Shahrukh Khan, Rahul Tewatia, Jason Holder, Rashid Khan, Kagiso Rabada, Mohammed Siraj, Manav Suthar, Prasidh Krishna/Ashok Sharma.
