Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) top-order batter Devdutt Padikkal displayed his aggressive approach and came heavily on Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 game getting played at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. Batting first, when RCB lost their opener Phil Salt in the seventh over of the match, Padikkal joined Virat Kohli and played some incredible strokes from his bat. Supporting Kohli in the middle, he maintained a 95-run partnership for the second wicket off just 51 balls. The left-handed batter faced 27 balls in the innings and struck 50 with the assistance of seven boundaries (four fours and three maximums). His strike rate was 185.19.

It was Padikkal’s second consecutive fifty in the tournament as the southpaw also hit a half-century in the encounter against Punjab Kings (PBKS) in Mohali on April 20. The 24-year-old has hoarded 230 runs for RCB so far in his eight outings. Before Padikkal fifty, Kohli hit his fifth half-century of the tournament. Riding on the magnificent efforts of both batters, Challengers reached 205/5 in their 20 overs.
