In the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, the latter’s speedster Jofra Archer looked sensational in the first over of the match and delivered a ball which recorded the speed of 149.8 km/h. At the toss, RR captain Riyan Parag emerged victorious and invited the hosts to bat first. Against RCB’s formidable opening duo of Kohli and Phil Salt, Parag tasked his premier pacer Archer to open the bowling innings for RR.
On the fourth delivery of the match, Archer showcased his mettle and bowled at the brisk pace against Kohli and became the centre of attention. Following the delivery, both Kohli and Archer looked at each other and smiled. Archer has been in sensational form this season for RR. After bowling IPL’s most-expensive spell in his team’s opening game against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on March 23, he didn’t look back and bowled superbly for Rajasthan. The 30-year-old has bagged eight wickets in nine matches of IPL 2025 so far. Earlier, against Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Narendra Modi Stadium on April 9, he bowled the delivery at the speed of 152.3 km/h.
RCB will look to vanquish downbeat RR to register maiden win in Bengaluru
RCB will look to showcase discipline and win their maiden game at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. Rajasthan won their last game in the tournament more than a couple of weeks ago and they are going through a thin period. In their last two games, they choked in the final moments which led them to defeats in both matches.
Bengaluru, on the other hand, have looked superb in away games but have failed to win any match in their backyard thus far. Rajat Patidar and his men will look to quench fans’ thirst for victory in the home game by clinching success against Royals.
