Royal Challengers Bengaluru are set to face Rajasthan Royals in match number 42 of IPL 2025 at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. As RCB will look to get their first win at home this season, RR also aim to end their four-match losing streak and get on the winning track at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. Ahead of the important match, RR stand-in skipper Riyan Parag won the toss and put RCB to bat first.

RCB didn’t make any changes in their playing XI while RR are coming with one change as spin bowler Maheesh Theekshana has been benched against RCB. In his place, RR have picked fast bowlers Fazalhaq Farooqi in their playing XI at M. Chinnaswamy. “We will bowl first. The wicket looks a bit sticky and should get better later on. It's back to our ethics now, if we can give our 100 percent, the results will take care of themselves. Sanju (Samson) bhai is recovering and hopefully he will be back soon. One change for us. Theekshana is out and Farooqi is in,” Riyan Parag said at the toss.

I played for RCB for 3 years and it is going to be fun: Wanindu Hasaranga

RR spinner Wanindu Hasaranga shared his thoughts before taking on his ex-team RCB at their home ground. “I played for RCB for 3 years and it is going to be fun, last 2 games were tough as a team but we played good cricket throughout the tournament and we need one good start to keep going. We have 6 more games left and as a team we want to finish well and see where we are in the points table. We will try to play one game at a time,” Hasaranga was quoted as saying by Cricbuzz.
