Wicketkeeper batter Dhruv Jurel is set to be included in India’s playing XI for the fifth and the final Test against England which is scheduled to be played at The Oval, London from July 31 to August 4. Jurel will be replacing Rishabh Pant in the playing XI who injured his foot while batting in the fourth Test in Manchester. The left-hander has been advised to take a six-week rest and is ruled out of the Indian squad of the final Test.
In Pant’s absence, Dhruv Jurel will get a chance to get included in the playing XI and will be seen playing as a wicketkeeper-batter at The Oval. Before that, Jurel has only played as a substitute wicketkeeper in Pant’s absence. He came in as a substitute keeper when Pant injured his finger while fielding. While in the fourth Test, he also came to just keep the wickets after Pant’s toe was injured during the first innings. Now, ahead of the fifth Test, Jurel spoke on being a perfect team man. He also revealed one person in the Indian cricket team who shares memes to him.

In a video shared by BCCI on their website, Dhruv Jurel revealed that its’ fast bowler who shows him memes. “Sometimes I laugh,” Jurel said in a video, “Arshdeep is the only one, who shows me memes, he is the meme king, so it;s fine,” he further added. After that, Jurel also shared a reference from the MS Dhoni: The Untold Story. There’s dialogue from the MS Dhoni movie ‘batting karni hai, nahi, keeping karni hai, merko to batting pasand hai, nahi terko to keeping karni padegi’” said Jurel while sharing a laugh.

Speaking further, Dhruv Jurel said that he is excited to play in the final Test against England and how he can contribute to the win. “I’am very excited, what can I do to make out team win,” Jurel said. India are trailing by 1-2 in the ongoing Test series and will be looking to win the last Test to end level the series by 2-2
