On Tuesday, April 29, the Delhi Capitals are hosting defending champions, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi in match number 48 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. For the unversed, DC skipper, Axar Patel won the toss and decided to bowl first, inviting the visiting side to put the score first on the board.
On the back of decent start from the top order along with a 32-ball 44 from Angkrish Raghuvanshi, KKR posted 204 runs. During the first innings, Mitchell Starc shone, picking three quick wickets in the penultimate over. Among the three wickets, Dushmantha Chameera’s stunning effort to dismiss Anukul Roy grabbed eyeballs.

The Sri Lanka pacer stole the spotlight with an unbelievable catch that might just go down as the best in the ongoing tournament. The moment came on fourth delivery of the 20th over. Starc opted to bowl a full delivery on the pads of Roy. The batter whipped it cleanly towards the boundary at backward square leg.
However, it looked destined to clear the rope until Chameera sprinted to his left and flung himself horizontally in air to caught hold of the ball and complete a two-handed screamer. Seeing the Sri Lankan’s extraordinary efforts, the crowd at the Arun Jaitley Stadium also erupted, celebrating the key wicket. On the very next delivery, Harshit Rana ran out Andre Russell, eventually restricting the visitors to 204/9 in the 20 overs.

Mitchell Starc (3/43) picked up three wickets for the hosts, while spinners Axar Patel (2/27) and Vipraj Nigam (2/41) chipped in with two wickets apiece.
