India thrashed Afghanistan by 101 runs in their last Asia Cup 2022 fixture as Virat Kohli smashed his 71st International century in the Super Fours fixture on Thursday. The 33-year-old Indian star smashed a six to complete his maiden T20I century and while he celebrated his centurion knock an elderly Indian fan was spotted bowing down to Kohli.

Virat Kohli became the first batsman to score a century in the Asia Cup T20 format and also registered the highest score by an Indian batter in T20Is as he scored an unbeaten 122 runs. Meanwhile, this was Kohli's first century in international cricket after 1020 days.

A video has gone viral on social media, where an elderly fan made a heartfelt gesture as he bowed down to the former India captain after he scored his long-awaited century.

 Talking about the match, Team India placed a target of 213 runs for Afghanistan as KL Rahul (62) and Virat Kohli (122*) combined for a 119-run partnership while Bhuvneshwar Kumar displayed a brilliant bowling performance and picked a fifer in his four overs by giving just four runs.

Virat Kohli received the Player of the match award for his inspiring knock of unbeaten 122 runs off 61 deliveries.

Meanwhile, Pakistan and Sri Lanka will lock horns for the Asia Cup 2022 final at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on September 11.
